1. Understand the common causes and workup of patients with abnormal liver function tests.
2. Assess the prevalence of viral hepatitis in your patient population, and identify patients who should receive the hepatitis A and B vaccines.
3. Counsel patients on behavioral modifications to reduce the risk of exposure to hepatitis strains.
