Learning Objectives

1. Use evidence-based recommendations and guidelines to perform a differential diagnosis for patients presenting with ocular emergencies, including chemical burns, Acute Central Artery Occlusion, Acute Angle-Closure Glaucoma, and injuries.

2. Determine appropriate evidence-based treatment, based on diagnosis of the underlying cause of ocular emergencies.

3. Detect and recognize ocular manifestations of systemic disorders including diabetes.
