Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Utilize appropriate diagnostic criteria (DSM-5) to evaluate and screen patients for depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. 
2. Develop appropriate management strategies for patients with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. 
3. Compare and contrast pharmacologic treatment options and criteria for drug selection (including current REMS) for patients with depression and anxiety.
