1. Select appropriate evidence-based, validated screening tools to apply to the older patient.
2. Identify appropriate primary care management for patients diagnosed with depression and/or anxiety, and indications for referral.
3. Examine the collaborative care model as a strategy to manage patients with depression and/or anxiety.
4. Explain required coding and documentation needed to ensure proper payment for screening and management of depression.
