Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Evaluate options for skin biopsy, including shave punch, and excisional biopsies.
2. Compare appropriate biopsy selections for skin lesions depending upon the type of lesion and its expected depth. 
3. Demonstrate knowledge of performing shave, punch, and excisional biopsies. 
4. Choose preferred suturing methods for wound closure. 
5. Discuss performance of local anesthesia with minimal pain and maximum effectiveness for patients
