Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Differentiate between food allergy versus food intolerance.
2. Identify available diagnostic testing modalities for food allergy.
3. Counsel patients and families on methods to reduce risk of acute allergic response, including the use of food challenges.
4. Identify prevention strategies surrounding the timing and introduction of solid and high risk foods for children.
5. Educate patients with egg allergies and their families on the evidence based recommendations for routine immunizations.
