1. Use the concepts of pre-test probability, and positive and negative predictive values as they apply to testing for fetal aneuploidy.

2. Outline advantages and disadvantages of various approaches to first-trimester and second-trimester screening, as well as invasive diagnostic testing for Down syndrome.

3. Summarize the current recommendations for cystic fibrosis testing and the importance of “residual risk.”
