1. Assess their training needs regarding audiologic tests used to evaluate hearing loss in their patient population.
2. Cite the recommendations and requirements of their state regarding universal newborn hearing screening.
3. Counsel patients regarding the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss.
4. Provide a differential diagnosis for hearing loss based on presentation and the results of audiologic tests.
5. Formulate an individualized management plan for patients with hearing loss.
