Learning Objectives

1. Demonstrate familiarity with the anatomy of the hip through a case-based approach.
2. Describe the most common causes of hip pain in various patient groups.
3. Interpret the symptoms and signs of common hip problems as presented through a case based approach; osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, labral injury, and stress fracture.
4. Select appropriate imaging studies and be aware of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria.
5. Describe appropriate indications for subspecialty referral.
