1. Identify concerning causes of inconsolable crying that must be ruled out before applying a diagnosis of infantile colic.
2. Provide parents with possible safe and evidence-based strategies to help alleviate infantile colic.
3. Provide patient/parent education on commonly used alternative methods to treat colic, their safety, effectiveness, and recommendations for or against their use.
