Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:
1. Distinguish the cardinal signs and symptoms of preterm labor (PTL) and how to manage this condition based upon gestational age of the fetus.
2. Recognize labor dystocia that occurs during latent phase and stage one labor and identify likely causes of this dystocia.
3. Identify up to four methods of decreasing the need for an operative vaginal delivery or Cesarean Section during stage two.
