Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Develop collaborative care plans with patients regarding healthy diet and lifestyle modifications to improve pregnancy outcomes.

2. Perform routine prenatal visits to determine when pregnancy complications may arise due to family history and risk factors.

3. As necessary, evaluate high-risk women for complications into the third trimester and decide whether to perform antenatal screening using serum markers and ultrasound.

4. Differentiate specific issues, disease processes, and treatments based on ethnicity, gender and genetics.
