Learning Objectives

1. Utilize current guidelines to assess pediatric patients presenting with gastroenteritis, or physical signs of dehydration, to determine the degree of dehydration. 
2. Develop an evidence-based treatment plan, based on the severity of dehydration, facilitated by antiemetics as necessary. 
3. Assess caregiver understanding of the diagnosis and instructions for rehydration therapy during the office visit.
