Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Apply evidence-based recommendations and guidelines to the diagnosis of children suspected of having a UTI.
2. Use evidence-based recommendations and guidelines to order imaging studies for children with UTI, and evaluate the need for referral to a subspecialist or for more invasive imaging studies.
3. Devise evidence-based plans with pharmacologic and nonpharmacological therapies, for treatment and prevention of acute and recurrent UTI in pediatric patients.
