1. Prepare plans to provide preconception counseling to female patients of reproductive age capable of becoming pregnant.
2. Advise female patients of reproductive age on preconception care and health promotion activities, including immunizations, STD screenings/treatments, folic acid intake, chronic illness management and health behavior modification.
3. Counsel patients on the possibility of genetic testing if it is considered to be an appropriate and available option.
