Upon completion of this CME session, you should be able to:
1. Evaluate components of the PPE and ensure inclusion in assessment of patients’ prior athletic participation.
2. Identify patients at increased risk of sudden cardiac death.
3. Integrate discussions of nutrition, supplement use, weight control, disordered eating, and overuse/overtraining injuries.
4. Include as needed behavioral risk factors and psychosocial assessment of athletes.
