Learning Objectives

1. Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications and detect, diagnose, treat, and monitor STDs to avoid long-term health consequences, especially as they relate to female patients.
2. Improve competency in counseling sexually active patients about STI prevention.  
3. Develop a treatment plan for women before becoming pregnant to screen for STDs to ensure conditions are addressed and treated early.
