Learning Objectives

1. Demonstrate familiarity with the anatomy of the shoulder through use of a case-based approach.
2. Incorporate evidence-based, systematic approach to evaluation.
3. Interpret the symptoms and signs for common shoulder complaints as presented through a case-based approach; shoulder instability, rotator cuff disease, labral injury.
4. Select and/or conduct appropriate imaging tests for shoulder injuries.
5. Describe when it is appropriate to refer patients for subspecialty care.
