Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:
1. Conduct appropriate screenings and develop prevention plans to reduce patient risk of onset of Type 2 Diabetes.
2. Provide evidence-based management strategies to prevent cardiovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
3. Create a type 2 diabetes mellitus management plan that includes medical therapy, lifestyle modification, self-management education and psychosocial assessment and care, inclusive of new pharmacologic guidelines for the management of diabetes.
4. Identify new validated technologies shown to promote lifestyle modification and improve A1C levels in the setting of prediabetes.
