Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Distinguish hepatitis strains in symptomatic patients in order to provide an accurate diagnosis and prescribe appropriate therapies. 
2. Assess the prevalence of viral hepatitis in your patient population and identify patients who should receive the hepatitis A and B vaccines. 
3. Counsel patients on behavioral modifications to reduce the risk of exposure to hepatitis strains. 
4. Compare treatment options for patients with viral hepatitis.
