Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Evaluate patients who are current or former smokers, and those who develop frequent viral infections, for symptoms that may indicate COPD or related conditions, including the appropriate use of spirometry. 

2. Prepare treatment plans that include recommended approaches to therapy for patients who have COPD.

3. Provide supportive interventions to patients who have COPD to facilitate smoking cessation.
