Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

1. Develop a protocol for routine screening for gait and balance disorders. 

2. Provide an overview of the recommendations contained within the STEADI Initiative to prevent falls. 

3. Evaluate patients for gait disorders utilizing evidence-based, validated tools (i.e. Timed Up and Go test, etc.). 

4. Identify targeted interventions for patients with gait disorders and at risk for falls.
